Cherry MELT BBQ Sauce for Ribs

Ingredients


  • 240 ml ketchup

  • 60 ml apple cider vinegar

  • 60 g brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • 1/2 Cherry MELT

  • Salt and pepper to taste

 

 

Instructions


  1. Combine Ingredients: In a medium saucepan, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Stir well to combine.

  2. Add Cherry Flavor: Add 1 drop of Cherry MELT (see the recommended amount on the package) to the mixture and stir until fully incorporated.

  3. Simmer: Heat the saucepan over medium heat. Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally. Let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the sauce to thicken.

  4. Season: Taste the sauce and season with salt and pepper to your liking. If you prefer a sweeter sauce, you can add a little more brown sugar.

  5. Glaze the Ribs: Brush the Cherry MELT BBQ Sauce generously over cooked ribs during the last 10 minutes of grilling or baking. This will create a delicious caramelized glaze.

  6. Serve: Once the ribs are fully cooked and glazed, remove them from the heat and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve with extra sauce on the side for dipping!
